Right this time.

Having learned my "check battery" lesson I was able to snap a couple of good brown trout on another visit to Killylane Reservoir.

This specimen fell to a slowly retrieved size 12 Black Pennell....










....and this to a size 14 buzzer on the pause at the end of the retrieve.

This reservoir is proving to be an excellent location for decent browns. There seems to be an abundance of both aquatic and terrestrial feeding and I suspect that being located above most of the agricultural land is also a factor.
